Capturing life with a brush to canvas
Hundreds of Ann's Oil Paintings are missing and can not included here. Mr. Beaulieu obtained a large number of etchings, plates and drawings from a time when Ann was living in the Ventura area. Mr Beaulieu was kind enough to photograph many of his collection and share them with us here for all to enjoy.
<-- The picture at the left is an watercolor sketch that Ann made for the planning of an oil painting that can be found on this site, called Bedouin Women. The Bedouins were an Arab nomadic people and often wore colorful clothing that protected them from the desert heat.
This is another planning watercolor of an oil painting that Ann later completed.
This original drawing is of Ann's younger son Bob. Bob is 5 years old in this drawing.
A common sight in the Kendall house about 1962 was Ann's husband Giles sitting in the chair with ottoman that was originally her fathers, petting one of the families two Siamese cats, in the background one of the many antiques that Ann loved.
Some of the completed oil paintings of Ann can be found on this site. So far we have not seen the completed painting from this sketch.
Ann had saved this Christmas scene of a Pine tree, a snowman and snow fall, it was made by Ann's older son Guy when he was about 10 years old. It was used by him for Christmas greeting cards.
